Rutgers Football Shuttles | Operator: Academy/Transdev

Serving New Brunswick Train Station and SHI Stadium or Jersey Mike’s Arena and SHI Stadium

Frequency: Inbound before the game, outbound after halftime.

All shuttles begin operating inbound 3 hours before kickoff and start operating outbound after halftime or until all fans have been collected from SHI Stadium or 3 hours after the game, whatever is sooner.

If you’re a fan of the Rutgers Football team, I’m your ride to and from SHI Stadium on game days! I run to SHI Stadium before the game, and if we’re getting deleted by 47 points at halftime, I’ll take you back to New Brunswick or Livingston so that you can drown your sorrows.

After you’re done DAGE-ing on College Avenue, meet me at College Avenue Student Center (126 College Avenue, New Brunswick) to get to SHI. If you’re on Livingston (because you were eating actual food at the dining hall), meet me at Jersey Mike’s Arena (83 Rockefeller Road, Piscataway).

Timetables: This is a turn up and go route, so there are no timetables.

To SHI Stadium:

There are two pick-up points: the College Avenue Student Center or Jersey Mike’s Arena on Livingston Campus.

– College Avenue Student Center (126 College Avenue, New Brunswick): line up under the red bus stop shelter and board the silver Academy buses. You will be taken to Johnson Park across the street from Gate G (the Student Section entrance). Walk up the steep ramps on either side of the stadium to access the Rutgers Boardwalk.

– Jersey Mike’s Arena (83 Rockefeller Road, Piscataway): line up next to the entrance of Jersey Mike’s Arena and board the regular Rutgers buses. They will all say “FOOTBALL SHUTTLE” on them. You will be taken to Lot 53A, which is across the street from the Hill Center. Follow the crowds and signs to the Rutgers Boardwalk. Walk to the end of the boardwalk (towards the stage) to access the stadium.

From SHI Stadium:

There are two pick-up points for fans to take them back to their mode of transportation after the game. Johnson Park has the buses that will take fans back to College Avenue, while The Bubble has the buses that take fans back to Jersey Mike’s Arena on Livingston Campus.

– Johnson Park: cross River Road (next to the Student Section Gate, Gate G), and you’ll see three lines. Get in one of those lines, and a bus will pick you up shortly. All buses stop at the College Avenue Student Center and the New Brunswick Train Station.

– The Bubble: head towards the big flagpole at the north end zone (Gate D). Follow the signs to the lineup area, which is next to the big white structure (The Bubble). The line moves (somewhat) quickly, and all buses will drop you off where they picked you up before the game, in front of Jersey Mike’s Arena on Livingston Campus.

There are no tickets. Just get on the bus. Have your game ticket ready on your mobile device to expedite your entry into the stadium.

The bus is free for all fans.

⚠️App Data Accuracy⚠️

You can track where the Transdev shuttles are on PassioGO!, as they’re the normal Rutgers buses. You cannot track the Academy buses.
